A caravan insurance repair is work done on your caravan or RV after an incident, with the cost covered (wholly or in part) by your insurance policy. The most common claims we see are collision damage from road incidents, hail damage, tree or branch strikes, annex collapse, water ingress, and theft or break-in.
Focus RV Group is an approved caravan insurance repairer. That means we have direct-repair agreements with six major Australian insurers: Allianz, AAMI, RACV, Rentsure, CIL and AMA. Approved status gives us authority to quote, liaise with the assessor and carry out the repair without sending your caravan through three different workshops.
Our insurance work covers every damage category most caravan policies include, from small body repairs through to full rebuilds after major impact. All work is carried out in our Campbellfield workshop by qualified trades, including body, mechanical, electrical, gas and cabinetry, so the claim is finished under one roof.
We have direct-repair agreements with the six major caravan insurers below. That means we can start assessment and repair work without you getting three quotes from elsewhere. Have your claim number ready when you call.
Focus RV Group is a direct-repair partner for Allianz caravan and RV insurance. If you have an Allianz policy, quote your claim number on intake and we'll handle the assessor liaison, quote and repair authorisation directly.
Direct-repair partner for AAMI caravan and RV policies. We assess, quote and manage the full repair under AAMI's approved-repairer pathway.
Direct-repair partner for RACV caravan and RV insurance. We handle the claim with RACV's assessors in-house, from intake through to final sign-off.
Direct-repair partner for Rentsure rental caravan and RV insurance. We've handled rental-fleet insurance work for years and understand the reporting your insurer needs.
CIL is a specialist caravan insurer and we're an approved repairer on their direct-repair pathway. Most CIL claims move quickly because their assessors are caravan-specific.
Direct-repair partner for AMA motorhome and RV claims. Approved across motorhome, slide-on and fifth-wheeler categories.
Front, rear and side impact damage, chassis distortion, tow-bar assembly repair and A-frame straightening. We document the damage fully for the assessor and rebuild to manufacturer spec.
Roof panel, skylight and body damage from storm events. Minor hail damage is often panel-beaten and refinished; major damage usually requires panel replacement.
Roof penetration repair, body panel replacement and the internal water damage that often flows from a strike. Full rebuild of any internal framework affected by water ingress.
Awning assembly repair or replacement, wall and panel repair flowing from the collapse, and reattachment of roof rails and bracketing.
Where water ingress is covered under your policy, we handle delamination repair, internal timber replacement, cabinetry rebuilds and resealing. Water ingress claims usually require a full internal strip-out to be done properly.
Major impact claims cover full body panel replacement, chassis assessment, interior rebuild and mechanical work. Most rollover repairs sit at the complex end of the spectrum and benefit from our single-roof workflow.
Break-in damage, door and lock replacement, panel repair from forced entry, and replacement of stolen fittings documented on the claim.
Damage assessment, interior strip-out and full or partial rebuild depending on scope. Smoke damage alone usually requires interior refinishing rather than a full rebuild.
In most Australian caravan insurance policies, you have the right to choose the repairer for your claim. Your insurer may recommend one, but the policy-holder's choice generally prevails. As an approved repairer for the major insurers, we're a valid choice under your policy.
Quote preparation, assessor liaison, parts sign-off and repair authorisation are all handled in our workshop. You give us the claim number, and we manage the back-and-forth with the insurer from that point on.
As an authorised warranty agent for several caravan and RV manufacturers, we have direct access to genuine parts channels. That keeps your caravan warranty intact alongside the insurance repair where both apply.
Body, mechanical, electrical, gas, plumbing and cabinetry are all on the same workshop floor. Insurance claims frequently cross disciplines (collision damage usually affects electrical and plumbing too), and we don't need to ship your van anywhere to finish the work.
Lodge the claim with your insurer first. You'll be given a claim number. Take photos of the damage before moving the caravan if it's safe to do so. Photos from the scene are often the best evidence for the assessor.
Call (03) 8383 1026 or use the contact form and include your claim number, insurer, caravan make and model, and a brief description of the damage. If the caravan is undrivable, we can advise on tow options.
Book the caravan in for inspection at the Campbellfield workshop. We photograph the damage, scope the repair and send the quote to your insurer for assessor review.
Your insurer (or their assessor) reviews and approves the quote. We liaise with the assessor directly where required to answer questions or provide additional detail.
Once approved, our qualified team carries out the work using genuine parts wherever your policy covers them. We keep you updated through each stage of the repair.
We road-test the completed repair, finalise the claim paperwork with your insurer and walk you through the work before you drive home. All receipts, parts documentation and sign-offs are handed over with the vehicle.
In most Australian caravan insurance policies you have the right to choose your own repairer. Your insurer may recommend a workshop, but the policy holder's choice is generally respected. That means if you'd rather use a caravan specialist than a general smash repairer, you're usually free to do so. Always confirm choice-of-repairer rights with your specific policy wording before the claim.
Focus RV Group is an approved repairer for all six major caravan insurers we work with, which means choosing us does not slow your claim down. Quote your claim number when you call and we'll confirm we can act as your repairer under the policy, then take it from there.
